Nevertheless, the final chapter shifts attention toward the influence he left behind. Before the Shinjuku conflict, Gojo had expressed his hopes for Yuji and the younger generation. He wanted them to create a better future rather than repeat the mistakes of the previous sorcerers.

Yuji gradually begins to understand that responsibility. His actions during the final mission suggest that he is willing to guide troubled individuals instead of treating every conflict as a problem that must be solved through violence. In this way, Gojo's ambition continues through the people he trained.

The conclusion also offers a brief glimpse of Sukuna after his defeat. In the afterlife, he encounters Mahito and reflects on the possibility of choosing another direction if he were ever given another opportunity to live.

This moment does not erase the suffering he caused, nor does it excuse his actions. Instead, it introduces a final layer to his character by suggesting that even someone who rejected human connection throughout his existence can recognize the possibility of a different choice.

The scene provides a contrast with Yuji's development. While Yuji continues forward by accepting relationships and responsibility, Sukuna's final reflection highlights the path he never chose.
