Hanarabeez Get Anime Adaptation
Hanarabeez, an original character project by manga artist Yukari Kaneko, is receiving a three-episode short anime. The first episode began streaming on October 26, 2026, through the official YouTube channel of Shueisha’s Ribon magazine. The remaining episodes are scheduled to premiere on November 9 and November 24, with the final installment arriving at noon Japan time.
This series depicts the daily lives of characters whose entire bodies are made of teeth. According to the description on the "Ribbon" YouTube channel, the series blends cute characters, laid-back moments of everyday life, and surreal comedy.
Release Date of Hanarabeez Anime Version
Benpineko is directing this short animated film, with Mamoru Suzuki serving as animation director. The production team includes Chieko Moriya, Chiaki Nishihara, and Tu9Ne as animators, and INSPION Edge is handling sound production. This project adapts Kaneko’s original characters into a short animated film rather than a full-length TV series.
"Hanarabeads" is part of "Charatan Labo," a character development project launched by Ribbon in September 2025. Through this project, the magazine introduces original characters via manga and illustrations published monthly in its pages. This short animated film is intended to reach a wider audience via YouTube with characters based on Mr. Kaneko's unique "teeth" motif.
The anime features Hana Satō and Yūki Urushiyama, while FROGMAN, known for creating Eagle Talon, also joins the voice cast. Benpineko is directing the project at animation studio DLE.
