GOT7's Park Jinyoung and Kim You Jung Star in 100 Days of Deception

The historical drama 100 Days of Deception, starring Park Jinyoung of GOT7 and Kim You Jung, is set to premiere. The drama tells the story of Lee Ga Kyeong, a young woman who, on her first day of work at the Office of the Governor-General of Korea, meets a senior interpreter.

In an exclusive interview, Park Jinyoung, who plays a senior translator named Kim Tae Woong (or Sato Hideo), revealed why he joined this project.

Park Jinyoung said, “The script, the director, the writers, and the entire team involved were the main reasons I chose this drama.” 

"Just having the chance to work with them is more than enough for me. The character I play is going through an identity crisis between 'Hideo' and 'Tae Woong.' I hope viewers will see how the character changes after meeting Ga Kyeong," said Jinyoung.

Meanwhile, Kim You Jung, who plays the character Lee Ga Kyeong, also shared her reasons for taking on the role. 

He admitted that the plot of this drama kept popping into his mind.

“This character represents the younger generation of that era, reflecting the thoughts, determination, and dreams they held as they went through it.” 

"I kept thinking about how to convey the sense of curiosity I feel through this character so that the audience can feel it too," said Kim Yoo Jung.

The drama 100 Days of Deception is scheduled to premiere on October 10, 2026, on tvN.

100 Days of Deception Synopsis

The Korean drama *100 Days of Deception* is set in the 1930s, when Korea was under Japanese rule. The story centers on Lee Ga-young (Kim Yoo-jung), a master pickpocket in the capital city of Gyeongseong—now known as Seoul. Her life’s goal is to move to the United States, and she is desperately saving money to achieve that goal.

One day, Lee Ga Gyeong received an offer she couldn’t refuse from sniper Yoo So Ran (Kim Hyun Joo) of the anti-Japanese organization Gugukdan, which was plotting to assassinate Shinichi Sato (Jin Sun Kyu), Inspector General of the Chosen General Government.  The group included Gyeongseong correspondent Yoo Philip (Lee Mu Saeng), who worked for a U.S. news agency.

Lee Ga Gyeong eventually became a spy for Gugukdan and infiltrated General Chosen’s administration as a participant in a 100-day interpreter training program. There, she unexpectedly met Kim Tae Woong (Park Jin Young), Shinichi Sato’s adopted son and a newly appointed elite interpreter for General Chosen’s administration.
