Spoiler About Mind Chapter 6
The story centers on Kim Hee-soo, a model student who has always maintained her position as the top-ranked student in the entire school. For Hee-soo, academic grades and the number-one ranking are everything when it comes to preserving the fragile peace of her life.
Hee-soo’s peaceful life begins to waver when Yoon Seo-joo, a mysterious, friendly, and charming transfer student, arrives at her school. Although Hee-soo initially feels they come from different worlds and tries to keep her distance, Seo-joo continues to approach her with a friendly demeanor that slowly begins to open Hee-soo’s closed heart.
However, their relationship suddenly takes a drastic turn after the mock exam results are released. Seo-joo achieves a perfect score, directly threatening the number-one ranking that Hee-soo has fought so hard to protect.
Behind this academic rivalry, both harbor their own emotional wounds. Inner conflict, feelings of inferiority, jealousy, and a fear of dependence complicate their relationship. Despite the friction, Seo-joo actually asks Hee-soo not to run away or disappear from her life, and allows Hee-soo to vent her anger at her. This is where their story of mutual growth and the process of healing each other’s trauma (mutual salvation) begins.
