In this series, the lightsabers crafted by Zhima change color based on their users’ connection to the Force and their emotional state. Tada explains that these colors do not carry rigid personality meanings. Instead, the color variations help distinguish each character’s individuality.

The silver lightsaber symbolizes “The State of Nothingness,” a state of intense concentration inspired by Japanese martial arts. However, the directors view it as a stage in a Jedi’s development, not as the highest form of enlightenment.

Kamiyama drew inspiration from the samurai spirit, particularly the belief that power must be used to protect those in vulnerable positions. He contrasted this ideal with a mindset that prioritizes power over compassion.

The director clarified that the series is not intended to reject previous interpretations of the Jedi. Rather, he aims to expand upon that philosophy by demonstrating how kindness and self-sacrifice can reinforce the ideals associated with the Jedi Order.

Both Itō and Tada expressed interest in continuing the story if the opportunity arises. Tada compared the current series to the beginning of a larger saga, noting that there are still many more character stories and parts of the galaxy worth exploring.

As of now, no sequel has been officially announced. However, comments from the creators suggest that *The Ninth Jedi* was conceived with ideas that could extend beyond its first limited series.
