This anime adaptation project is being produced by Studio Hibari under the direction of Hiroyuki Hashimoto (Classroom of the Elite, Laidbackers, Magical Girl Raising Project).
Series composition is handled by Hiroshi Seko (Dorohedoro, DAN DA DAN), while character design is handled by Shunpei Mochizuki (Sakugan).

*Nue’s Exorcist* centers on the life of Gakuro Yajima, a young man who, since childhood, has had the ability to see spirits—creatures drawn to human emotions of sadness and anger. Gakuro’s sole desire is to avoid these spirits and live a peaceful life as an ordinary high school student.
However, his fate takes a turn when he accidentally enters a sealed room and meets Nue, a unique and powerful spirit who is deeply fascinated by human pop culture. Nue then invites Gakuro to partner with her to exterminate the evil spirits roaming their school grounds.
The manga *Nue’s Exorcist* was first serialized by Kōta Kawae in Shueisha’s *Weekly Shōnen Jump* magazine in 2023 and has continued to be one of readers’ favorite titles. Prior to the announcement of this anime, the series even took first place in the prestigious AnimeJapan 2025 poll for the category “Manga Most Wanted to Be Adapted into an Anime.”
