TAME OTONITY – BrokenLore Ascend has released a new trailer to announce its release date, and we absolutely love it. The saga—comprising eight horror games—is back in action, and this time, BrokenLore is heading to Tokyo.
Psychological terror is set to take players to new heights with *BrokenLore: ASCEND*, the latest installment in the saga developed around one of Japan’s most famous landmarks, which now has a release date. This time, fear won’t just lurk in the darkness—it will also lurk in the void beneath our feet.
Serafini Productions and Soft Source have officially unveiled this latest first-person adventure, which combines free-climbing, stealth, and psychological horror. The game will also feature an officially licensed replica of the Tokyo Tower, though in the story, this iconic landmark will be called the Elysium Tower.
BrokenLore: ASCEND will be released on January 7, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The title is already available to add to your wishlist on both PC platforms and is presented as a standalone story within the BrokenLore universe.
This adventure follows Ren and Yui, two rooftop climbers trying to gain more viewers and followers for their channel, SKYLIMIT. Determined to pull off their most spectacular stunt yet, they enter the Elysium Tower at night for a forbidden climb.
However, what began as a new challenge for their social media presence quickly escalated into a fight for survival. The tower is inhabited by a Rokurokubi, a yōkai from Japanese folklore capable of stretching and twisting its neck like a snake.
