One Piece Creator Oda has Devised an Observational Assassination Tactic for Luffy in the Elbaf Arc

Over time, Luffy has engaged in high-level battles and taken his Haki to the next level. By the end of the Wano arc, Luffy had developed all three types of Haki to the next level: he can see the future with Observation Haki, inflict internal damage without physical contact using Armament Haki, and has learned how to channel Supreme King Haki.
However, Luffy’s Haki can still be improved even further, and Eiichiro Oda has now created a new form of Haki for him: Observation Killing Haki. The foundation for this new power upgrade was laid by author Eiichiro Oda on August 6, 2022, when he released Volume 4 Billion for the first time.
This volume was originally released to celebrate *One Piece Film Red*, a hugely popular movie centered on the red-haired Shanks.
In this volume, Eiichiro Oda revealed many fascinating abilities of the red-haired Emperor, including Observation Killing, a power that, to date, only he possesses.
Observation Killing is a special ability that utilizes advanced Supreme King-Class Haki, allowing its user to control their presence in such a way that enemies cannot foresee the future at all. In many ways, Observation Killing also prevents enemies from using standard Observation Haki to read their movements, making them extremely difficult to predict and giving them a significant advantage in battle.
Shanks has mastered this Haki, but Monkey D. Luffy has not yet awakened it. In the Elbaf arc—particularly during its climax, when Luffy fights Nerona Imu—this type of Haki will be crucial if he manages to master it.
