Gachiakuta Game Reveals Official Title and First Gameplay Trailer, 2027 Release

Gachiakuta is a dark fantasy and action manga series by Kei Urana (a former assistant to the creators of Fire Force and Soul Eater) set in a post-apocalyptic world that explores themes of social inequality, materialism, and revenge.
The story centers on Rudo Surebre, a teenager living in the slums of an extremely wealthy and prosperous metropolis. The city’s upper class is extremely wasteful and has a habit of discarding anything they deem useless into a giant, bottomless chasm called the Abyss. The Abyss serves not only as a dumping ground for physical waste but also as a place to dispose of humans deemed “filthy” or sinful.
Rudo survives by scavenging for valuable trash discarded by the wealthy. But one day, he is framed for the murder of his adoptive father, Regto. Although innocent, the public condemns him and throws Rudo alive into the Abyss.
Instead of dying, Rudo found himself in a terrifying underworld filled with oceans of toxic waste and Waste Monsters (Aberrant Beasts). Driven by a burning desire for revenge against the people in the overworld who had slandered him, Rudo vowed to survive, climb back to the surface, and exact his revenge.
To survive the attacks of the waste monsters in the underworld, Rudo is rescued and eventually joins an organization called the Cleaners. Together with the other Cleaners, they use their respective Jinki to eliminate the monsters and protect the underworld’s ecosystem while uncovering a massive conspiracy between the surface world and the underworld.
Broadly speaking, Gachiakuta is not just an ordinary battle story, but a powerful social critique of consumerist culture, the way humans treat objects, and how society marginalizes certain social groups.
