Netflix Launch a New Girl Group Through an Audition Project for Vocational High Schools of the Arts

Interestingly, Netflix just announced its latest K-pop survival show, titled "We Go High," on October 21, 2026, which aims to launch a new girl group.

Netflix Creates a New Girl Group

Netflix is reportedly set to launch a new girl group through a survival show set in an arts high school.

On October 21, 2026, Netflix officially released a teaser for the show titled WE GO HIGH and opened the participant recruitment process on the same day.

This program was produced and directed by PD Park Jin Kyung and Lee Jae Seok of Monstera House, who have previously worked on various popular entertainment programs.

Set in an arts high school, the participants—comprising 10th- and 11th-grade students, as well as prospective students who will enroll in 2027—will represent their arts schools from across the country.

Applications opened Wednesday. Female students in their first or second year at arts high schools or high schools offering broadcasting-related programs, as well as those set to enroll in such schools in 2027, are eligible to apply.

“This program will capture the spirit of high school students majoring in the arts who aspire to reach a higher and broader global stage,” said a Netflix representative.

Further information regarding registration and the selection process will be announced in stages via Netflix Korea’s official social media accounts.

Netflix has partnered with the entertainment agency SM C&C through a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to support the group’s training, debut, and global activities following the show’s conclusion.
