Houshou Marine Won’t Be Performing at the Hololive Records Concert, Fans Are Devastated

In an announcement on her Twitter account, Marine apologized for her absence and stated that she really wanted to meet everyone. However, after discussing the matter with Cover, they concluded that, for health reasons, it was still too difficult for her to stand and perform on stage.

Since announcing her absence after tickets became available for purchase would cause many problems, she is announcing it now.
Houshou Marine’s absence due to health issues is related to treatment for vocal cord nodules. She also announced that she is stepping down as the voice guide for the Grand Reception event.
Since streaming involves speaking for long periods without breaks several days a week, vocal cord nodules are a common condition. Laplus Darkness, also from hololive, had to take a leave of absence in 2024 due to vocal cord nodules.
Hololive Records Music Stage 2027 will take place on January 9 and 10, 2027. Further details regarding the event, as well as advance ticket registration, will be announced on October 20, 2026.
