What is Naruto: Shadow Rising? Project Overview

Announced during major industry events like New York Comic Con, Naruto: Shadow Rising marks a monumental return for Masashi Kishimoto to writing and illustrating the primary narrative threads of the universe. Early preview sketches and promotional materials released by the production committee have generated massive intrigue.

Teasers displayed at major showcases depict iconic imagery, including Naruto Uzumaki's face being carved into the Hokage Rock, emotional scenes featuring Sakura Haruno with a baby, and a dramatic, high-stakes clash between Naruto and Sasuke Uchiha.

Unlike ongoing sequel iterations that focus heavily on the next generation, Shadow Rising dives deep into untold lore elements, expanding the canon timeline and answering lingering questions that have fascinated the fanbase for over a decade. The high level of direct creative involvement from Kishimoto himself has driven search volumes for full chapters, promotional chapters, and volume indexes to unprecedented heights.
