Gundam Rogue Orbit Gameplay Trailer Showcases a Mission
--
TAME OTONITY – Bandai Namco offers a new look at *Gundam Rogue Orbit* through a gameplay trailer that focuses on what it’s like to carry out a mission. This roughly three-and-a-half-minute trailer explains the step-by-step process, which appears to begin with receiving an assignment on the ship’s bridge, then moving out to handle the conflict.
This *Gundam Rogue Orbit* gameplay clip begins with Nazuna assigning a mission to the player character near Mars. They want to land the Stellarvane there, but enemies are nearby.
Our task is to board the Gundam and fight the APCs there so we can land safely. From there, we get to see the Gundam in action as it attacks enemies. As an example of a mission, the objective is fairly simple. In the top-right corner, the player is instructed to “defeat all enemies in the area.”
However, after that brief example, we see the MS Customization settings and how we can select weapons, two AP Units, a Propulsion Unit, Modules, and the head, torso, arms, and legs of the Outer Frame. As we do so, we’ll notice the Generator’s limitations, which restrict the mech’s overall capabilities and specifications based on our choices.
In addition to the new Gundam game set to be released soon, there is also a related anime series. In July 2026, Bandai Namco unveiled *Gundam RG XARX-ZERO*. The series is set in the same universe but will serve as a prequel to help establish the background and provide new insights into the *Apocalypse* timeline.
Currently, its release is only scheduled for 2027, so it’s unclear whether it will premiere during the Winter 2026 anime season and serve as a lead-in to the game’s release in January 2027, or whether we’ll see it as a sequel later next year.
