Theodora Feels Like Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave’s Star

TAME OTONITY – Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is one of the titles in the series with multiple main characters, thanks to the presence of four “lords”—Theodora, Leda, Dietrich, and Cai—as well as the player’s avatar, Eshmel.
That’s not even counting the leaders of other factions, who ultimately play a significant role. That’s great, but after finishing the entire game, I felt that one character stood out and felt like the true protagonist thanks to her storyline. Theodora stands out in the best possible way.
First, Theodora is the only true “noble” we’ve followed since the Heroic Games arc in the first part and beyond. This puts her on par with many past protagonists like Marth, Eliwood, Eirika, Ephraim, and Chrom.
It also means that her narrative throughout most of the story tends to focus on the political intrigues, maneuvers, and conflicts faced by the leaders. There’s a sense of tradition woven into the existing story, yet it still feels fresh in many ways.
Furthermore, since Theodora is a queen, this gives us as players access to more areas and elements in the first part of *Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave*. The first of these involves the entire section of the city of Dagsion that other main characters cannot enter during that part of the story. This is because only the royal family is allowed to enter there.
This is a way to acknowledge her status and distinguish her from the others. Theodora is also the only unit with access to the ship, allowing her to reach areas on the world map that other units cannot access. Yes, Dietrich can use the ship to a limited extent during his campaign, but that only applies to a certain number of turns and in specific parts of the map.
