TAME MANGA - The highly anticipated climax of the supernatural dark fantasy anime has hit a brief production speed bump. The official production committee for the franchise has formally announced that BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity (Part 4) will delay the broadcast of Episode 49 and Episode 50 until October 2026.
According to the statements released by the animation studio and official distribution partners, the sudden schedule modification was enacted specifically to grant the animation production team additional time to enhance the visual and overall technical quality as the multi-year adaptation races toward its grand finale.
The announcement has sparked widespread discussion across the global anime community, coming down just as the series reached a major narrative high point. The delay shifts the final two installments out of their originally planned September broadcast windows, resulting in a hiatus of roughly one month for the regular weekly scheduling on networks like TV Tokyo and global streaming partners including Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Disney+.

The Updated Release Schedule for the Final Episodes
To keep fans accurately informed and help them avoid unofficial spoilers floating around social media platforms, the production committee finalized the revised broadcasting grid. The two delayed episodes, which serve as Episodes 9 and 10 of the fourth cour (The Calamity) and numbers 49 and 50 of the overall modern adaptation, will now premiere on the following specific dates:
- Episode 49 (Season 4, Episode 9): Will officially broadcast on TV Tokyo in Japan on Monday, October 19, 2026 at midnight. International streaming platforms will begin distributing the episode with subtitled options shortly after on October 20.
- Episode 50 (Season 4, Episode 10 - Finale): Will officially broadcast on TV Tokyo on Monday, October 26, 2026 at midnight, with global platforms matching the release standard the next day. BS TV Tokyo is scheduled to air the finale on October 27.

In order to maintain the weekly television timeslots within Japan during the 37-day hiatus, the network committee will not leave fans completely empty-handed. TV Tokyo has arranged a special "Climax Selection" rebroadcast schedule.
