Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia Episode 12 (Finale) Preview and Synopsis Released

TAME OTONITY – The anime “Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia” has released the synopsis and preview images for Episode 12, which will be the series finale from Science SARU. Previously, the anime had shared a behind-the-scenes video offering details about its production.
“Moved by Sitara, Sorghaghtani rejects a political marriage proposal from Güyük. She skillfully outmaneuvers Boraqchin, whose plan was to gain total control of the Tolui clan through that marriage. Meanwhile, Sitara continues her search for Töregene and finally finds a crucial clue. At the same time, Ögedei summons Sitara and proposes a wager.”
Based on Tomato Soup’s award-winning manga *A Witch’s Life in Mongol*, the anime is set in the 13th-century Mongol Empire and follows Sitara, a young woman who survives a brutal fate by relying on knowledge rather than strength.

After losing everything due to the empire’s expansion, she infiltrates the royal court in search of revenge, where her fate becomes intertwined with that of Töregene, a woman who harbors her own hatred for the empire.
The series had already gained international recognition even before its premiere, having been selected in the “TV Movies” category of the Official Competition at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The original manga also recently won the Grand Prize in the “Comics” category at the 55th Japan Cartoonists Association Awards.
The core team is led by Naoko Yamada, known for her work on K-On!, A Silent Voice, Liz and the Blue Bird, and The Heike Story, who serves as executive director. The director’s most recent work was the film The Colors Within, about which we had the opportunity to interview her.
