The peace of the world is threatened when an evil organization led by an evil entity called Zetsumu (the main antagonist from the game Dengeki Gakuen RPG: Cross of Venus) begins to attack. Zetsumu has the dangerous ability to manipulate memories, mimic shapes, and pit fighters of various dimensions.
Your Zetsumu created evil clones of heroes to spread chaos. In order to save their dimensional stability, Denshin called on the main characters—such as Kirito and Asuna (Sword Art Online), Shana (Shakugan no Shana), Mikoto Misaka (A Certain Magical Index), and others—to fight and defeat Zetsumu's threat.
The player selects one main character and one supporting character (assist). Along the way, they have to fight against characters from other series whose souls are being manipulated or blocked by Zetsumu's clones.
The uniqueness of this mode lies in the dialog before and after the match. For example, Shizuo Heiwajima (Durarara!!) gets annoyed when meeting Kirito because Kirito's face and hair remind him of his arch-enemy, Izaya Orihara.
The game was directed by French-Bread, a developer known for the Melty Blood and Under Night In-Birth series. They succeeded in translating the light novel illustration image into a very delicate, detailed, and colorful 2D animated sprites, complete with the effect of the ultimate style (Climax Arts) as spectacular as the anime scene.
