Kusuriya no Hitorigoto (The Apothecary Diaries) Spoiler Chapter 80
Shenmei started hitting Maomao on this remark and ordered her servant to take the female protagonist to the water prison. However, Suirei interrupted her mother's talk, and Shenmei took all her anger out on her daughter. Eventually, on the recommendation of Loulan, Maomao was instead sent to the Pit.
Shenmei agreed to her other daughter's recommendation as Maomao was sent to the Pit. Accompanied by some of Shenmei's servants, Maomao entered a room that kept going downwards into the ground. Eventually, Maomao was left behind in a space with some snakes. However, Maomao got excited, instead of getting scared, by the snakes.
The next chapter would be installment might see a showdown between the snakes and Maomao. As given by the female protagonist's excitement, the showdown might not go according to Shenmei's plans.
